The National Youth Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Sidii Abubakar Musah has likened the opposition to a “sick horse” that needs urgent medication to be able to stand the test of time.
The NDC National Youth Organizer was referring to the blame game ongoing in the party over its shocking defeat in the 2016 elections and attempts by some bigwigs in the party to immediately take over the management of the party going into the 2020 presidential and parliamentary elections.
He described such moves as premature and urged party members to exercise caution as the party undertakes postmortem of what might have caused the defeat in the 2016 elections.
“NDC is a sick horse. It a powerful horse alright but it is sick. What we need to concentrate on now is how to heal the horse so that anybody who takes over in any capacity can be able to carry the party through to victory,” Sidii Abubakar Musah told host of Gold Power Drive, Samuel Eshun Thursday.
He said the party must first work on the “sick horse” and ensure that it is fit for battle ahead of the 2020 elections.
He stressed that he remains an asset to the NDC noting he does not need a position in the party to serve his party and country.
