Youth of Nyinahin in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region have held a burial service for three fishes found dead in the Nyinahin Amaano river. During the burial service, which was done same way as conducted for dead persons, saw the youth performing rituals to avert any tragedy befalling the community. Five women are in the grips of the Assin Fosu Police Command for unlawful possession and peddling of substances suspected to be ‘wee’. The five were arrested in the Assin Fosu township after a tip off resulting in a swoop by the police to rid the area of criminals ahead of the Easter festivities. The five are Abena Boaduwaa, Akosua Akyea, Ama Serwaa, Comfort Adu and Afia Akyere. Three men whom the police explained are the kingpins of the drug trade were also picked up in the swoop.
