Most of the questions I’ve come across from students is how to stay focused while studying. To stay focus needs a lot of discipline.
Focus as a word actually means Focusing on One Course until Success. You can never stay focus without being discipline.
There is a saying that saying that says ‘Jack of all trades is a master to none’. This is whereby you try to shift your attention onto so many things and at the end of the day you end up not fulfilling any of them.
Students within the tertiary has a lot to do and in the University, you cannot avoid fun and study every time.
The same thing also applies to students in high school. I quiet remember how I failed in some of my science courses because I had a lot I was doing and I never had time for my own self to study.
I asked myself why it happened to me. Honestly I was one of the best students in my class not to brag and when it happened my own colleagues and juniors got shocked. Even with those who looked up to me as a mentor needed to reconsider their decision as in why their role model, school prefect , SRC President , spiritual leader will fail.
Yes, those were the position I took upon myself way back in high school. I worked in all without a plan. Anywhere I am needed, I show up. I had no schedule for myself and no plan too.
So after I failed, I realize something was wrong. I had lost focus as to one of the very reasons why I was in school.
So I needed to reconsider my decisions and find time for my books.
That’s was the plan I came up with. I needed a schedule for my daily routine. I drafted and I worked with it. I thought to myself without self-discipline, I could never abide by it. I only showed up for other duties based on my time plan and I never did anything outside studies without going through my schedule.
To stay focus is one thing and how to stay focused while studying is also another thing.
